On my days of sorrow I love to write
It heals my soul on the darkness of night
It cleanses my spirit and makes me whole
A feeling so invigorating that my body loses control
My mind travels beyond my mere existence
My peripheral boundaries have expanded beyond the norm
I feel transported to a place where I'm needed
As the fallacies of my life are slowly depleted
To you, there merely words on a paper
To me, they mean so much more
Because it's a script of my life
as I explain to myself what I most truly adore
Some see black and white, but I see a hidden message
Deeper than any abyss and longer than any passage
Words that cry to me from the page
Are an expression of my secluded rage
I hope they come to understand
That my life is not so bland
Painting words on paper is my poetries desire
Because it cleanses my spirit and takes me higher
