Tiberius Kitty

Tiberius kitty is an adorable little fellow my daughter rescued a couple of months ago...he's a happy little fellow who gets all the love he deserves...

Tiberius kitty stalked his prey
A toy mouse under the chair,
He ducked behind a pair of shoes
So the mouse wouldn’t see him there.
 
Green eyes focussed, he barely blinked
Lest the mouse should disappear!
Twitching his nose, and wiggling his butt
The time to leap was near!
 
Suspense was nearly killing him
When Tiberius finally pounced,
But he hit the chair with kitten flair
And off of it he bounced!
 
A little dazed, he looked around
Before he pranced away,
His kitten pride had taken a hit
And that mouse was gonna pay!
 
But Tiberius kitty was sleepy
So he stretched out on the floor.
After a nap he’d be good as new
And he’d catch that mouse for sure!

Kittens have a wonderful way of amusing themselves for hours chasing prey, only to suddenly fall asleep in the middle of their fun. You captured the essence beautifully.

Not a cat person, but can actually see the antics of Tiberius Kitty and think him cute as can be....Very adorable poem my way northern friend.
