My mother, may she finally be at peace.

She was my mother Very beautiful Always looked older Than what she was She was a excellent cook Was always baking Something I remember licking the beaters When she was a child She had lived close To an airport Had a passion to fly When she had gotten Older She wrote letters Trying to fly in a navy jet Many got tossed into The waste basket Eventually she did get To fly...early sixties She even received A pair of wings Which I have now Never give up on your dreams
