GOOD ON YOU, LISA! I don't understand why anyone would want to not use *Christmas*. We are supposed to be a nation founded on Religious Freedoms...well, I'm Christian and I proclaim my right of freedom to celebrate and to speak CHIRSTMAS! The celebration of my Christ, my God's Son! This is not showing disrespect to other religions.

You know I had never thought of it that way. I've always used the X for shorthand when typing out messenger messages but have always written it out when doing christmas cards (unless it was to someone that wasn't religios now that I think about it). I think you have opened many eyes with this poem and I won't go into my views on a complete seperation of church and state (including taking "In God We Trust" out of every courthouse...
Great write and I hope others will open their minds to the way they use it (the X).

You echo the sentiments of the vast majority of people out there. Keeping Christ in Christmas I will be a proponent of until the death of me or the ACLU.
A powerful write that needs to be heard this Christmas season and I will not shop in any store that follows this pagan secular way of keeping Christ out of Christmas.

Right on the money Lisa, I think all christians who are true to the word of God and all that are true to tradition of our land, our parents and our way of life should be singing this poem to the rooftops. Whatever happened to our religious rights, are they not as important any more as others? We have a city here where I live that took a vote in council to keep Christ in all things regarding to Christmas and are making a stand, perhaps it's time more of us did the same. Was the lives of out fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles and cousins just a sham and not to keep our countries freee? Righteous is the best way to describe your poem here Lisa and I am behind you 100% on this one.

Without Christ, there is no Christmas. If it is wrong for us to celebrate then all those Senators, Congressmen, Judges and Civil Rights Groups should be the first to work on the holiday or stop being biggots and control freaks. It is funny how they don't wish to give up any of their rights, but expect us to. Just because we are the majority here doesn't mean that we can't be prejudiced against. This is America and everyone is free to worship as they please (?) so why should we be disallowed the same rights simply because we are Christians and our country was founded on Christianity? I am not offended by the Star of David nor do I think that it is wrong to celebrate Kwanzaa here, so why do we have to hush and why is it wrong for us to celebrate the Christ in Christmas? OK now I am late for work...was only going to read and comment later but you got my blood boiling, Lisa....Great work!! Thanks for speaking from your (our) heart.
