Dedicated to my young nephew, Anthony McGovern, who sees deadly combat daily in NE Afghanistan under the shadow of Tora Bora. May You & All Your Battle Buddies Stay Safe, Tony!!!

~Profiteers~ Guard thy course, young man IEDs do line that road* One false turn, you're dead Incoming missles Thud, thud, boom, boom, flame filled night Never ending fight Who says might is right? Profiteers of doom breed lies Tribute paid in blood * IEDs- Improvised Explosive Devices; cousin to those deadly Land Mines that abound in zones of manufactured conflict. #################################################################### Bottom line: WAR is a shameless racket fueled by the global military-industrial elite. Only "We The People" can realize a true "course correction" & end the mindless madness by using our tarnished Democracy to be as active and vocal as possible--which requires a broadly informed dedication to the cause of humanity's betterment... #################################################################### Copyright 2011 by CG McGovern-Bowen. my daughter's boyfriend was in Afghanistan for 6 years ... he's lucky to be alive .... the industrial military complex is control of the madness ... lets come they bring all the boys home soon ... only we can make the difference in insisting it comes to an end ...
