She changed my life forever. Not outwardly or physically, but she altered the way I perceived things… and myself. I would never be the same and she knew it. Yet I continued as nothing had happened, or ever would. She and I knew that, too.
Laura Daisy. She was always there... always. She asked few questions and probably expected no answers. She would listen to me as I rattled on things of unimportance. She would soothe and comfort me when needed, whatever I wanted to do. Unselfish and caring; those were the things she was most rich in.
Laura Daisy. As time passed I let her in more. She came to know me better, and I her. We were more relaxed and felt better together, at least I did. People really don’t know each other completely. So it was with us.
Laura Daisy. Time must surely separate us someday. But for now I am content in kowing she is there and always caring. I enjoy her telling of the things she loves…rain, hearts, angels. When the time comes, I hope we are prepared. With time comes wisdom and a greater capacity for understanding. I’ll think of her often and know why she is Laura Daisy.
