Today, I want to beat the heat
Cooler days would be a treat.
So now I sit on blocks of ice
And should I move, I'd pay a price.
For every calorie I burn
Seems to make my body turn
Its thermostat to ninety-eight
To Hell's hot flames, I can relate.
But next December, snow will come
And I will feel so really dumb.
For what I wished for, I'll sure bet
Is something that I will regret.
