A Flight of Fantasy

Poetry has a role to play

In the multi-media mix                                     

Where sights and sounds fall all around

Like rustling leaves and sticks.

When music lifts our souls

And takes away our cares

And love beckons with its silent voice

Like a set of winding stairs.

The beauty of the world

Bursts forth in glorious new measure

And aided by love’s magic touch

In song and sounds and treasure.

Set aside a quiet moment

Just once before day’s end

And let Nature words and music

Combine to heal and mend.

It will rejuvenate your body

Add lift to a sagging spirit

Strip away the dullness of the day

And let you just “chill” in it.
