This speaks to me of Enlightenment. The kind I experienced when I finally broke free of the false identity forced upon me by family who could not accept me as I am: smart, strong, creative, and unique in so many other ways. For some reason these aspects of who I am mystified or perhaps even frightened them. I was the proverbial cuckoo in the wren's nest. So I was "dumbed down" to a more comfortable persona. But the day came when I, my Self, finally accepted who I really was and as you described so wonderfully I was filled with awe at the colors and sounds and emotions that swirled out from my very essence. To go back now, if even possible, would destroy me all together.
I have created alot of people that weren't real via acid & such, but I cannot remember them now so you are better off enjoying their company as it sounds you are already doing...-e-
