I may have to post my own way of reciting these words. You know, like a cool singer might sing them.

Poem Artwork

Let’s Fly Away

Slow down
There’s a junction just ahead
That has speed bumps
Crannies and nooks
And tales to be told
Linked to desires
Not meant for the old
At heart.
Some know it as the wayward wind
Others find a flight to the moon
It soars.

It’s fanciful but fair
Two tickets are waiting there
For romance. Take a chance.
With connections to treasures
And pleasures
And forbidden places
It’s hot. It’s what life embraces.
It’s not for the shy
But you’ve got to try.
It’s free. Take a chance with me
For affairs of the heart that need only
A place to start. It’s a work of art.
Let’s live.

There is room for so much adventure
Where angels fear to tread
No kidding.
Where unknown tales are waiting
In themes exhilarating
That are more to be lived
Than read. So it is said.

Hold on to your seat
There is no retreat
This rocket is bound for glory.
Countdown.
We lift off the ground
at the break of day
No need to look back
We’re on the fast track
Or as the singer would say –
Come fly with me
Let’s fly…
Pack up let’s fly away.

This is a beautiful poem, Ed. Life is nothing if not for the "Chances."

I did the same thing John did, and like him, I never returned. Life can be good if you will let it.

Ed, you know the song "Fly me to the moon"! You buy the tickets, stand in line and you never know you may just get there. Keep thinking and dreaming because life for most of us is at a premium. This poem has Edward written all over it, it's fun, has imagination and you just never know what is next...Beautiful.

Sounds like a good plan. That's what I did a long time ago and I never returned.
