Like beauty that springs
From tender young things
Nature knows just what to do.
Like birds that fly
High up in the sky
Bringing us joy with each point of view.
You are the wind you are the seas
You are the song you are the breeze
That lift our souls to new heights.
You are our hopes
You are our dreams
Injecting new themes into ordinary things
With resoluteness by their size.
When we need you most you are there
With a youthful fun-loving stare
Yes those penetrating peepers
And extraordinary weepers
Securing new hopes on a dare.
We never know when
We never know where
We don't even know just how
They bring joy to our lives
Along with our sighs
And that's good enough for now.
You bring to mind that the idea of appreciating beauty, whether surface or deep within, one never gets too old to understand that the romancing of life is essential... perhaps even more so now in a world that is so literally going bankrupt of our gifted principles. For me, most of my appreciations of beuty happen in my nocturnal journeys. Too busy during the day to go there... save the few hours I spend writing. (Of course, once in a while there's some beauty I can explore.). It is getting scarce. Thanks for posting and I hope your back is healing well. Peace.
