A day is a day,

Like all others at last,

With dawn’s final passing,

Breathing Serenity’s last.

Chaos is laughing,

So are the Three,

The clapping, the laughing,

Deaths last reverie.

Sitting and waiting,

Closing the last,

Moments express,

And some of these pass.

Do they go over,

or under,

Listen, they fly close,

Across the veil,

To the other side’s list!

Oh, how you can see them,

Press in your mind,

When the souls fly away,

Leaving bodies behind.

A sudden explosion,

The shrapnel, the dust.

A world that betrays you,

Bereft of all trust,

The cacophony stills,

Heartbeats get faster,

For one can’t predict,

A mortal disaster.

They grind to a halt,

And shoulder their guns,

A damage assessment,

And then it’s begun!

The shooting, the yelling,

The screaming and more,

The going through motions,

Of things they abhor.

The anger, the hate,

The lead laden fear,

The question, the answers,

The wisdom and tears.
