Poem Artwork

Celestial Orgasm

Clouds spread
Soft ivory thighs
Sun thrusts powerfully
Through cleft
Colors burst forth
Crescendo of crimson hues
Decline in intensity
Sun withdraws
Sinks under fading sheets
Moon curious
Golden rises
From velvet bed
In the east
A sigh of the sky
And all is still

Orgasme Céleste

Les nuages s’écartent
Douces cuisses blanches
Le soleil pousse sa puissance
Par la fente
Les couleurs éclatent
Une explosion de lueurs écarlates
S’éteignent peu à peu
Le soleil se retire
Se cache sous les draps

qui disparaissent
La lune curieuse
Dorée se lève
De son lit de velours pourpre
Dans l’est
Un soupire dans le ciel
Et tout est tranquille

Interesting nature piece that is also symbolic and can be thought of as a sexual union happening between a man and a woman. Nicely done. Love the imagery.

Reg, Sorry I'm late getting here. But on Julianza's recommendation
that this is the sexiest thing she's read since... Well, my friend,
I have to endorse Julie's exquisite taste...sexual and sensual, and the most beautiful sunset I've ever read. I must brush up on my French. And be sure to take a closer look at the next sunset, though sadly the sun RISES over the eastern sea. Wonderful, Reg, poetry as
it should be writ. -gene.

Damn, Regis! This is the sexiest thing I've read since Gene Williamson's Afternoon by the Sea. His is more subtle of course. But anyway, this reminds me of something -- wait who is it -- author of -- I think it was Maurice Sendak said that there is nothing in the world that is NOT sexual. There is a difference between sexual and sensual, but your poem is both. I also read "Ballet" and am very impressed. You didn't even need a painting with this poem. It is already a painting. You see? Sex is not naughty. it is simply the way of the world, it pervades nature and we are nature. It just takes a poet to make that very clear. julianza

An amazing write, Regis. The poem's imagery is every bit as powerful as the photo. On one hand, the photo - what everyone can see. Then the poem - what only the true artist can see. There's a special balance there. Coupled, the imagination can soar. Love and Hugs,
