Sublime, sweet and sensual
My ultimate poem
You are my cinquain
Five verses featuring you
And all that you do
You are my free verse
My spring of inspiration
In midst of chaos
You are my sonnet
Every line is about you
Shakespeare would be proud
You are my quatrain
Each rhyme and rhythm unique
Only fit for you
You are my ballad
You have been since I met you
It is quite a tale
You are my idyll
The verses are inviting
You to be with me
You are my epic
The classical heroine
Words cannot describe
You are poetry
Every form I can think of
Inspired by you
That is truly inspirational and your muse fails you not. Even the painting of Mary Magdalene should suffice to inspire alone. Excellent work my brother.
I like and simplicity, depth and heart-felt authenticity of this poem. The three lines per verse structure and repetitions of 'Tou are ...' (repetitions that are never-the-less slightly different each time due to the kind of poetry under discussion) gives the poem a circular feel that leads the reader back to the straight forward declaration at the heart of the theme - Muse/Poetry/Human Affections!
