Loved ones snatched away with no explanation,
no closure, no words of love said before the end...
Only a memorial to who once was... a sad part of life...

I'm assuming that you are talking about someone whose life had been taken away by stranger, and the family did not have a closure yet. Too sad indeed! ... but you are a wonderful person who would remember her and pay tribute and memorial to you. You are very kind!

I know how this is to see a sign of a loss everytime you go somewhere. On my way to work, I see the sign in memory of my daughter's boyfriend that died at age 34. He was a police officer and a bridge is named after him...I always get teary eyed when I drive over this bridge every morning on the way to work.

Here in the big city, we have a body dumped almost every day. Most people think that in pristine rural places that kind of thing doesn't happen, but well remembering my hometown, a little out-of-the-way place, there was much more crime going on than here in the big city.
I certainly do hope that Rachel's family will have closure someday when the culprit(s) are found. This kind of thing should never happen where children lose their parents and spend their lifetime wondering why. Thanks for the immortalizing memorial poem.
I have seen these type of memorials all over down this way...usually it is placed where some idiot of a drunk driver runs into a big tree and wrecks his car and himself in the process...
