When I am on the beach I do as well talk, though it seems to myself, I am actually speaking to my Mother Ocean, sharing thoughts with her & listening to try to interpret what she has to say to me...I have not of late walked very far, my legs are not what they used to be, but I still have to say HI to mom to find out what she has of late seen & the same thing for her of me...-e-
I like this walker in nature. But he should learn that the best way to have all of nature's creatures come out and greet him is to shut up his loud and grating human voice that scares timid creatures away!
One question: Are Canadian drivers so reckless and wild that they would hit a poor fellow walking on the road so that he needs bright colored clothing? Or is it that during deer season it keeps wild crazy hunters from shooting a human being by accident?
There's nothing like a good walk to refresh the spirit and soul. It's amazing what one can see and experience on a leisurely walk, even if it's just around the block, and getting to know your neighbors.
Indeed, walkers are special people, and yes, you are so right, they talk to themselves, to all of nature, to God. I know. I too am a walker who talks. Great poem, Regis !
