*The Way It Is* I went to sleep last night Hoping to see your light I woke up this morning With my heart in mourning As the dawn was breaking My spirit was aching I looked out the window At the misty meadow I gazed into the mist It’s as if I’d been kissed I’m sure I saw your face Your loveliness and grace I looked toward the east Not a light in the least I know that I must wait That it’s never too late Looking down from above I know you know my love Our journey will go on Forever and anon I immensely miss you © Regis Auffray
