Silently swimming among lofty evergreens never touching their bowing boughs as they revere your passing presence from high above you glide over them on crystal water you live your days in reflections
You could be a cloud or an angel a reflection of my love
But you are Swan serene and sweet and ever so lovely reminding me of her
Your poem reminded me of watching the swans elegantly gliding along a winter stream in Yellowstone. The image, though more than thirty years old, remains vivid in my mind.
I often watch the swans when I'm walking or cycling along the canal. They are so graceful and wonderful, so different from the little moorhens and ducks that inhabit the same waters. Once in a while, I will spot a heron or crane standing silently observing the scene.

Swans certainly are serene. Glad they're coming back to American waterways that are being cleaned up so that they will. When I look at swans, I think of their beauty as birds. When you look at swans you see lost love.
