I won't call you, because I love you

Yester day I was sitting on a bunch in a park. I was watching the people who come and go. Then I noticed him, a one legged man, and I was watching him. Suddenly I saw sadness on his face, and I looked at his eyes’ direction and I saw women with her son.
Why did he feel sorrow when he saw her? Did he remember someone? Or was she her lover? Then I began to write…

Poem Artwork

After years,
Today,
I saw her again;
My lover.

She hadn’t changed a lot.
Same hairstyle,
Same walking.
But,
Did I sea a shadow on her face…?

“I’ll be there…”
She had said.
Two years ago.
I had waited her,
At the station till the morning.

“Oh, sorry my dear,
I can’t come.
Why didn’t you go?”
She had asked when,
I called her.

The message was clear.
She was not ready to come.
I had better go somewhere,
Her words said so.

Today,
I saw her again.
She was waiting for the train.
A child with her,
May be her child…
Her own child,
My unborn dear son…

I wished to call her,
To ask her why did she avoid me,
Why did she throw me,
But,
I didn’t…

Does she remember me?
Does she recognize a one-
Legged man as her lover?
Why should I say to her about my miseries….

It was her people,
Who hit me and cut one-
Of my legs and asked-
To run away from her…
And I had run with one leg…
******** *********8

No,
I don’t hate her.
Even now I love her.
It was her smile,
Gave me satisfaction.
It was her words,
Consoled me…

Thank you my dear.
Thank you for all good things,
You did to me.
I can forgive your mistakes.
Because I love you…

I love you a lot.
So I don’t appear before you.
I don’t call you.
I don’t spoil your life.

I wonder that,
What a wonderful thing is love…

David my friend, it's so
good to see you in the
den again!!! This is an
EXCELLENT write. It shows
deep preception and
compassion. I too, have
seen people on the street
who have inspired me to
write. Keep writing!
