I dedicate this poem to the innocent; blameless children who has been killed in Iraq.
I know no one writes for them. They had a lot of dreams. But we never allow them to fulfill it. I am sorry my children. I know the words are meaningless...
I was hungry and
I was not well too.
I had no medicines.
Because we had been besieged by them
Then they came to save us.
They gave us bullets to eat.
They blasted my head.
Now I don't feel hungry and sickness.
Yes, they came to 'save' me.
To save me from life.
They gave us food.
That made of our flesh.
I saw angry on his face,
When my blood scattered on his face.
"Shit", he said and jumped back,
Then his head hit on a rock wall.
He was dead.
His body was sent back to his nation.
They worshipped him.
They call him "hero".
They wrote poems about him.
They photographed his mother's tears.
The angel said all these,
I was just lying in my grave.
Did anyone photograph me?
Did anyone write poems about me?
I asked.
And the angel smiled.

It is indeed sad that so many innocents are suffering because of the wars. The pic is one of heart-wrenching. I can feel the pain for the child in there. It is a shame that children has to go through this. One can only imagine their fears, their helplessness, their pains. One has to ask what is it that men are fighting for? And those who had died, was it worth the dying?...cruel as it is, just when you die, the world is still lives on, the sun still shine, the rain still fall. The world still lives on even as cruel as it is that people had died for the wars.
War in any countries, in my opinion, is destructive. Rather than to solve any exhisting problems, it creates future problems.

Dear David - Yes, some do cry - and even puke.
They are the citizens of the world. Governments do not care, though some mock reason by saying they care deeply. The USA gov-war machine drops frag bombs and food packages together, looking the same - bright yellow, like happy faces - drawing hungry children their way...the children pay with their limbs or their lives. The USA gov-war machine uses depleted uranian which causes the most horrendous birth-defects imaginable. But, it is obvious from some comments here that some citizens of the USA don't know or don't care. Shameful!

this poem is incredibly meaningful and well written.
i feel the pain of the iraqi people in the same way that i felt the pain when i watched the towers fall and witnessed the divers, who chose rather to fly to their deaths than be burned alive. and today, i simply weep for humanity...
There is absolutely nothing more painful than the look of war on an innocent face. I've seen it way too much in the past years. Seeing it speaks nothing of experiencing the devastation of a child's onnocence and being robbed of youth. D_A_Y_U_M all who do this to Hell!
