Fast-Paced Suspense Thriller

‘Contested Ransom,’ (Joey Moretti Book 3 of 5) by Jack Kregas is illustrative of the author’s know-how for delivering fast-paced suspense. With Joey Moretti, a likeable guy and principled character who metes out justice, the reader is in for a penny, in for a pound.

The author gets ‘er done without leaving the reader languishing in a slop of superfluous words. The characters’ backstories are integrated with the action. Tactical maneuvers are grounded in reality and staged with ingenious execution, while keeping the reader on tenterhooks.

Just when you think the worst is over and Joey can go back to his idyllic life with Mira, there’s something he needs to take care of.

It goes without saying, ‘Contested Ransom’ is a must-read for those who crave reading on the edge.
