A Beacon of Light
Author Iwan Ross’s memoir, ‘Growing Slowly Nowhere,’ is a beacon of light. Struggling against the tide for acceptance in a dysfunctional family, years of determination and perseverance have gotten him through highs and lows. Whether creatively reinventing himself to thrive professionally, or surviving near-death experiences, he eventually comes to the conclusion: “I grew slowly, and could not see I was growing at all, because from the inside, slow and deliberate looks exactly like nowhere”.
The author’s storytelling is engaging, heartrending, and forthright, sparing not the rod for truthfulness. The soul of this memoir is its psychologically mind-blowing realizations which hold the reader captive from start to finish.
Iwan Ross commits to the bit by providing a beacon of light to those who willingly step inside the folds of his well-written memoir.
