Intriguing and Heartrending

A diehard fan of author P.S. Winn for her novels incorporating a small-town setting and protagonists you develop an affinity for, whether science fiction or crime thrillers, ‘Overt’ is no exception.

The reader empathizes with Deputy Tony Warren who must weed through a laundry list of suspects, one of whom murdered Steven Carmichael, a man many disliked.

Toward this end, Tony and the reader become embroiled in heart-wrenching incidents of domestic violence. A budding romance takes the edge off meticulous police work detailed in an intriguing story with puzzling motives.

I highly recommend ‘Overt’ which delves below the surface of a crime investigation.
