While not necessary to read them in conjunction with the paranormal Sweet Trilogy, you’ll want to for the psychological layer each adds to the protagonist who holds her own in ‘Sweet Vengeance’ and ‘Sweet Discovery’.

Read sequentially as a stand-alone series, the ‘Fallen Cross Pack’ whets your appetite for taking up reading residence in Fallen Cross. The fourth and final short in the series aptly titled, “Bitter End,” delves into Maggie and Patrick picking up the pieces and forging a new relationship together, accepting the good, bad, and devastating.

Maggie never got the PayDay candy bar Patrick promised her on the night he left and never returned in “Bitter Beginning”. However, all things considered, both paid an exorbitant price adjusting to what fate had in store for them.
