As the poet states in the preface of ‘Silence,’ the final book in her collection, “the voices show me many different views of the same situation…”

These life situations induce her voices to create resonating rhymes—which speak volumes!

The poems in ‘Silence’ are subdivided into categories: People in My Life; Nature in My World; Visions in My Mind; Days in My Years; Pieces of My Heart.
Each poem offers a personal observation and revelation rhymed with poignancy, whether exposing the ways of the world we live—“Freedom Fighters” and “Peace” come to mind. Or, the nuances of life itself: disillusion, disappointment, never-ending sorrow. Always, the themes of self-worth and taking the initiative to rise above setbacks, prevail.

Many poems, too numerous to mention, touched my heart. Citing a verse from “Life” (639):

It is you alone that chooses
What will happen every day
The hopes and dreams you keep
And the ones you throw away

I highly recommend ‘Silence’ which speaks volumes through resonating rhymes that address the phases of life we encounter along the paths we take.
