Stan Harris, one of the key players in Book 1 ('Harry’s Secrets'), left a flinty aftertaste in my psyche. Curious to find out how an 18-year stretch in the nick did him, I turned the pages of ‘The Conflict’—fast!

In this book, my disdain curdled for Larry Walker, Jr. He ticks off a lot of people—Stan Harris, front and center. It’s a cutthroat business as to which peeved party gets to him first.

The author excels at leading the reader through an intricate web of intrigue interwoven with savvy details. She brings up incidents in the past when necessary. She tosses in unsavory characters amidst those with scruples.

I highly recommend this story which sheds new light as it ties up loose ends in dishing out comeuppance.
