Although the genres of Teen & Young Adult/SciFi/Action & Adventure are not my general reading preference, J.S. Frankel has a knack for turning the tables. No stranger to his literary works, I came back for more, immersing myself in ‘Cyber Sprite’.

I highly recommend this book for many reasons:

Fast-paced adventure where I’m sure the wool was pulled over my eyes when entering the realm of cyberspace. Yet, it all made perfect sense to me.

Self-deprecating humor and political innuendos

Snappy dialogue

The lines between good and evil are drawn

Most coveted—realistic characters, whether in the guise of an AI sentient (Miranda) or a marginalized teen (Jake Cullen).

Here’s where I digress: So tuned in to Jake, I felt much empathy for this underdog, victimized by his physical handicaps, always looking over his shoulder for high school bullies who torment him. To my delight, he pulls his own punches vis a vis quick wittedness and cyber sophistication.

‘Cyber Sprite’ is a “real” good book to tread!
