My 5-Star review in entirety for 'Enough is Enough' by Martha Perez, published at Amazon:

This startling work of fiction targets dysfunctional relationships and domestic abuse. Each individual character relates their sobering story—with the exception of one who speaks on behalf of the dead victim.

The author’s mention of having been abused herself, and having witnessed the abuse of other family members, certainly gives her the credentials to open up this can of worms. Hence, she writes a credible story.

Ms. Perez’ straightforward style, incorporating graphic details, minces no words in conveying the verbal, physical, psychological, financial, sexual and emotional abuse endured by each victim. More importantly, how each survived to tell their story, while pointing out the red flags so many choose to ignore or deny—often sugarcoated by the abuser at the beginning of a relationship.

Also quite sobering, the author cites several grim statistics pertaining to domestic violence. One of them—women, in general, are more likely to be killed by their spouses than by other types of assailants.

I highly recommend ‘Enough is Enough’ for its overdose of realism.
