The author’s straightforward storytelling delivers a collection of short stories wickedly macabre. Her dysfunctional and/or depraved characters are best left hidden in the dark recesses she provides for them. As despicable as they may be, the narrator, Percy Peacock, has his own perverse peccadilloes.

Every story is unique and memorable in its own right. The characters suffer the consequences of the irreversible choices they make. If only things had turned out differently for Lily and Vinny in “My Heart”.

See for yourself how wicked spirits exploit the weaknesses in each character and lead them toward a path of self-destruction.
