Fiction Short - Suspense/Thriller: All Is Not What It Seems!
My 5-Star review in entirety published at Amazon for 'Climb the Highest Mountain' by Martha Perez:
This Fiction Short in the genre of Romance Thriller/Suspense is a harrowing reading adventure. In the beginning, the author introduces the reader to Sean and Haley, a sweet romantic couple who are soulmates. Sean, fated to die from an invasive brain tumor, wants to live life to the fullest and depart this world doing what he and Haley enjoy most—mountain climbing.
Soon after this loving couple reach the summit, you might say life goes downhill for Haley. At this juncture in the story, all is not what it seems, whereby Ms. Perez leads the reader on a treacherous journey with several spine-tingling surprises and sadistic twists awaiting Haley.
The author references mountains as a metaphor for teaching endurance, persistence, and appreciation for life. That’s for sure!
Indeed, ‘Climb the Highest Mountain’ is a gripping story with a strong female protagonist who braves many ordeals, one of which, is pulling a branch out of her arm and stitching the wound with a needle and thread.
I recommend this highly imaginative story teeming with characters and situations which are not at all what they first seem.
