Power of Association: a jaw-dropping Crime Thriller

Like Rick Holton, the protagonist in Winn’s Crime Thriller, I also found myself empathizing with Jackson Riley, the serial Barbie Doll Killer, whom Rick interviews at the prison over a period of several weeks before his execution.
Similar to Rick, this reader also found herself resenting Kelly Mason, the blue-eyed blonde investigative reporter with a penchant to muscle in on lead stories—especially Rick’s blockbuster documentary. Suffice it to say, this Barbie Doll grates on his nerves.
Although ‘A Gradual Decline’ fits Rick’s character transformation in this absorbing story, the ending was abrupt and unexpected. It’s a jaw-dropper!
I highly recommend this compact and compelling Crime Thriller where what you say can be held against you, such as a pair of hands wrapped around your throat.
