When Adela falls from her seat on a roller coaster and plunges to the ground, the roller coaster ride is just beginning for the reader.

In 103 pages, the author covers lots of ground, doling out background information about her fleshed-out characters. Other than Dominick, Adela’s clueless fiancé, and Lea, the subservient secretary, the rest have hidden agendas and things to hide.

Little by little, pieces of the puzzle come together while the reader takes that precarious roller coaster ride from start to finish in this suspense thriller with ties to the Underworld.

Highly recommended for its thickening plot propelled by characters with dangerous ambitions leading to deadly consequences.
