In under 200 pages, author Kristina Gallo deftly delivers rapid-fire suspense enkindled from an atrocity that takes place in 1995 during the War in Bosnia. Backstories interspersed throughout this gripping tale flesh out incidents and each character’s motivations. An intriguing entanglement weaves a tight noose for binding every character to one another. Each will meet their fate accordingly, as the statute of limitations never runs out for avenging betrayal.

I highly recommend this cleverly written, compact novel which packs several wallops along its way to the finish line.
