P.S. Winn presents a cast of down-to-earth, wholesome characters who interact throughout the story. She creates plausible scenarios and circumstances in tasking Jack to intervene in order for lost spirits to cross over. Her timing and transitioning flow smoothly and sensibly.
The author conveys her underlying subject matter with conviction and credibility, while interweaving a heartwarming story beset with unpredictable turns.

That poem that I recited before going to bed when I was a child, originated from the Middle Ages when children often went to bed and didn't wake up in the morning. But the thought of "the Lord coming and taking us," especially when we get old and in misery, is too strong to be denied by the facts.
I'm sure she will have lots of readers and followers of those who love the "white light" phenomenon. But I'm not buying it or reading it. My close to death experiences were blank or had bad dreams induced by pain reducing drugs--hallucinations.
