For three years, Brian Carson has left his grave to show up punctually at midnight on Christmas to spend time with his family. Presiding over the holiday dinner, there’s more grave than gravy to Brian.
The author’s easygoing narrative addresses his readers while depicting, in vivid detail, the interaction between characters.
As grave dirt works up a thirst, there’s plenty to be squeamish about as Brian decomposes a little more each year: a maggot crawling in an eye socket, appendages loose as a goose, the repugnant odor emanating from a rotting corpse.
I highly recommend this ghoulish Christmas short where the author’s sense of humor elicits plenty of chuckles.
