When you toss in a tropical setting on the island of Pag in Croatia where characters with disturbing personality traits collide, flammable situation occur, fueled by Natalija and Denis.

Author Kristina Gallo has fabricated a psychological thriller with elements of danger: rape, kidnapping, coercion, vengeance, and murder. Every major and minor character is flawed. In my opinion, unlikeable. While Denis has no redeeming qualities, I totally understand Natalija’s disillusion with Bruno and her dislike for Maja.

I highly recommend this quick-paced novel whose tropical setting heats up the melodrama until it explodes like a Molotov cocktail.
