Kristina Gallo’s psychological thriller is like a multilayered onion. From the first to last page, the reader is frantically peeling away the layers of the story to find out whodunit.

As the plot unfolds, the author covers a lot of ground in Croatia—including a “pitfall”.

There’s no shortage of flawed, egocentric, and unsavory characters who could have possibly murdered Klara. The author interweaves fine threads in revealing their backstories, lending suspicion to each.

I highly recommend this fast-paced story which peels away several secrets along the way.
