Author S.M. Revolinski has penned a noir novella whose kicks take place along Route 66 in the aftermath of WW II. While Eddie Ford may have been in the driver’s seat in his late-model Caddie more ways than one, his luck is about to change. It’s also about to change for Carrie Brownwood and Ted Holloway who hitch a ride with him.

The only folks who know the secrets of the dead are those who met their demise—and the reader. Law enforcement officials don’t know the half of it.

Up to the end of the line, the author takes you for a spin you don’t want to get out of.

Suspense build-up aside, I also thoroughly enjoyed the story for the author’s keeping in touch with investigative technology, his movie reference to ‘Raw Deal,’ which I watched, and post-war vibes.

Worth the ride!
