Love is a many-splendored thing, until it isn’t. From “Blaze” in Chapter Two - If only you had taken what I gave/ You never wanted to be saved/ To your vice a willing slave

I found the poems in Chapter Four very empowering for rising above the ashes. Themes of self-discovery, rebirth, and freedom abound. From “Emerging” - Rising from death/ Emerging as a phoenix/ Alive in the fire/ Blazing bright once more
