Author Jack Kregas seamlessly interweaves disturbing facts and stats pertaining to human sex trafficking in his hard-hitting fiction, ‘Shattered Innocence'.

Through meticulous details, be they convincing character backgrounds, or geographical descriptions of those locations in Australia and France where the affluent congregate—the reader becomes immersed in how and why human sex trafficking can hide in plain sight.

Most noteworthy, the author succeeds in probing the depths of emotional and psychological devastation suffered by family members who never know the fate of their missing loved one. In this case, Rose Streeter, beloved daughter of Sigi and Grace. Rose’s identical twin, Ruby, channels the soulful connection she has with her sister to “make things right” even though they will never be the same.
