A First-Rate Murder Mystery

Author Christa Nardi pulls out all the stops with ‘Weekend Getaway, Another Murder’ (Book Ten: A Sheridan Hendley Mystery). When Sheridan and Brett rent a cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway, they come across an injured couple during a hike: Stacie Maroni and Michael O’Hare—Nardi’s characters who are crime solvers in their own right.

The murder of Joni Lynn Hardwell, a forty-six-year-old realtor, preoccupies Sheridan and Brett’s stay in Evergreen. Henceforth, the reader is drawn into the realism of painstaking and meticulous sleuthing to find a killer adept at covering his tracks.

The author’s attention to details, in conjunction with her well-delineated minor characters giving the reader points to ponder, render this story a first-rate murder mystery.

The elements of danger are ever present as Sheridan, Brett, and Fabry try their utmost to pin a murder on their suspect, while appreciative of a good cup of coffee wherever their pursuits lead them.

A great reader’s getaway!
