The Stuff of Nightmares
The exact phrase Gracie Walsh had typed in an unpublished manuscript left behind at Willow Cottage. A Romance that’s more of a memoir for citing sinister happenings eerily similar to what Maddie is going through.
An avid fan of author Tina-Marie Miller’s previous works encompassing romance, intrigue, and cheeky humor, I’m singing praises to the moon and back for her foray into the genre of Psychological Thriller. The reader tentatively follows in Maddie Walsh’s footsteps at her late grandmother’s Willow Cottage, the home where she now resides by herself.
From the onset of the story, Maddie has niggling doubts about her future with fiancé, Adam Mason. She’s suspicious of Adam’s friend, Patrick, who keeps turning up where she happens to be. She’s becoming unhinged in between losing things and feeling uneasy about several disturbing incidents at the cottage.
The author excels in keeping the reader guessing as to whom is behind Maddie’s troubles and why. There are enough persons of interest to raise one’s hackles. I was also happy to come across some bawdy humor.
I highly recommend this gripping psychological thriller where the female lead emerges stronger and more confident after her ordeals.
