A gothic masterpiece!
Author Jeffery Martin Botzenhart’s Gothic Romance excels in enveloping his readers in the same darkness shrouding the lives of his characters. There are protagonists, Iris and Rhys, afflicted with their own sufferings, yet drawn to each other. There are notable minor characters who play a major role in propelling the story: Georgie, Nicholas, and Inspector McKelvey.
Unsolved murders, a sinister movement, mistreatment, exploitation, living on the fringe of society, and heart-wrenching situations abound.
This well-written story with vivid descriptions evokes the reader’s emotions and indignations from page one as those less fortunate fall prey to the evils in their surroundings. An absorbing read!
