Heartwarming

Drawn to author P.S. Winn’s novels for their forays into magical realism/science fiction with decent and upright protagonists, I chose to read ‘Zander Lane,’ a heartwarming story.

The mysterious and intriguing Zander Lane travels light on each unknown mission with the purpose of changing lives for the better. During some of these assignments, the “fixer,” who has no ties with anyone, must deal with the dregs of society. On one of these assignments having to do with environmental concerns, he meets a woman who changes his perspective as to his purpose in life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story for its vivid descriptions, insights, various scenarios, and political posturing with its focus on Zander Lane whose heart is always in the right place no matter where he finds himself.
