A Sassy Supernatural Mystery/Urban Fantasy, Bar None!

Author Aliya Dalrae’s ‘Murder on the Rocks’ is an engaging story replete with mystery, pathos, paranormal high jinks, and a budding romance between Buzz Johnson, the owner of Buzz’s Tavern, and Eileen Dubois, the woman from Rhode Island who walks into his bar.

Set in the Eighties, the reader gets a gander of the gadgetry and disco dance moves at the local roller skating rink in Fallen Cross, Ohio, one of the pit stops Buzz and Eileen make to find out who murdered her brother, Evan. Buzz definitely comes into his own—his human side and his wolf, as he narrates what transpires with wit.

I enjoyed meeting Hilda and catching up with Renee. It was nice touching base with Harrier, Fallen Cross’s Viking vampire from the Legion, who lends a helping hand.
Along with Buzz, Eileen, and Evan, the murderer took me by surprise.

Ms. Dalrae, channeling Buzz, is a smooth operator when it comes to easy-going storytelling. In addition to having a good chuckle, I admit to getting misty-eyed. As there’s no good reason not to read ‘Murder on the Rocks,’ you’ll understand why when you belly up to the bar at Buzz’s Tavern.
