The Key to a Heartwarming Story

Best friends and business partners, Troy Ellis and Sam Chapman, discover a special key at Karatage Canyon in the Evergreen National Forest. A relic to the past, this key opens up portals with ties to Native Americans and their legends. The first portal the two enter is a cave harboring hidden treasures. Despite dire warnings by Wakun, Sam’s Native American grandfather, the key mesmerizes Sam and Troy to open yet another portal. This one leads them to a civilization harboring Max, Sam’s uncle who disappeared three decades ago.

What ensues is a heartwarming story about making difficult choices and making the most of time with family members on this side of the portal. The author subtly infuses the disparities between the simple life of long ago and present-day reality: the impact of global warming, diversity and inclusion, what constitutes wealth and well-being.

As a side note, I hope Troy and Jill get to know each other much better.

Author P.S. Winn’s Time Travel fiction interwoven with Native American history provides the key to a heartwarming story.
