BIG plans! 12/6/2010 10:35:17 PM
The "Plan" I have for "Baker's Dozen: a Fantasy Novel" if it ever is VERY successful! Well, of course, it's gotta come to a theater near you. Of course, too, it would have to be produced and scripted by me (assuming I have the BIG $$$!).
Cronenberg to direct, although he ain't touching the script! This would insure Canadian content, eh? Much of the book takes place in an alternate Canada, anyways.
The cast? Well, get this: Christian Bale to play ALL 12 biological analogs, including Kathleen! Sure, the CGI wouldn't come cheap and I suppose C.B. would be a hard sell...maybe I'll just say, "Aw...I knew you couldn't do that much great acting in one film!" With his ego, he'll probably swim the Atlantic for the part(s).
Yerret...well, how about Gary Oldman? In Coppola's Dracula film, he "aged up" and also carried an air of power. Not sure if he'd be interested...
Forestmaiden? Rae Dawn Chong...nuff said! (Is she still alive?).
Sleeps-in-the-Sun...well, there are many talented Native Canadian performers who can really act...just have to find a real tall, muscular one.
Finally, the main bad guy, whose name will not be mentioned here: some one short, fairly youthful-looking and willing to work for scale.
So, that's the "Plan"!
By the way, you should remember that I write fantasy...;)
