The Bloggin' Trails are Back! 5/17/2010 11:58:56 AM
Ok, so I;m more than just about poetry. You could only choose one catagory. I'm about writing children's stories, articles and military. Yes, the Bloggin' Trails are back. What a hiatus it has been! There comes a time when a person knows what has to get completed and for me it was my latest self-published book, The Many Faces of War.
It was difficult to work on the book as many times I saw the faces of our lost Canadian soldiers, the sadness on the families faces as they waited for their son/daughters body to return, brave soldiers who died serving his/her country.
There were those Canadians who wanted to share a part of their family history so they submitted photos, stories and writings. Also,it was always enjoyable to get an e-mail from a teacher in Eastern Canada who's students were active in sending gifts to the soldiers overseas. I am very proud of our youth and their willingness to participate and now they will NEVER forget.Their story is stold in the book along with some photos. It is teachers such as this young woman who instil great values in their students lives.
I look forward to meeting up with all my writing friends. Gosh, how quickly the time has gone by. If there is one thing that will continually keep us bonded it is our love for writing. I must say it's good to be back in my 'lil authors den. Smiles.
During my hiatus I've made a move. I believe it is for the best. We now enjoy living closer to the wilderness. In the early mornings the dog and I go out and are greeted to a multitude of sweet sounds from Mother Earth's most beloved creatures. Oh, and yes....I scoped out a bloggin' trail. We'll have to be a little more careful as we are one step closer to bear country and they are eager to greet the new season. Perhaps eager to great the unsuspecting intruder as well.
