Settling In on the Bloggin' Trails 5/18/2010 4:08:58 AM
The morning birds greet us on this sunny day. Hello Fellow Bloggers,
What a beautiful day! One could not ask for clearer skies or a brighter sun. I do believe our summer is inching its way into our lives. What a strange weather year we have had thus far, right?
If I do not reply to your welcome straight away well, I'm just getting settled into my virtual den here. There are some changes with authorsden and I aim to learn all about them. Many thanks to those who have found the dog and I on the bloggin' trails and who took time to welcome us. It's nice to be in the company of those of your own field of work. It will be great to re-connect with everyone.
On the bloggin' trails the dog and I were able to witness the graceful flight of many birds. There is one big, black crow who I believe has made his mark for a resting spot in a Birch tree that stands way above the rest. He nestles in there and watches all that goes on, real proud like he is the king of the northern skies. It is rather amusing and it has me wondering, do the other birds dare challenge him?
When I think of such freedom that the dog and I are able to experience each morning I am very thankful. I find my mind wanders over to Afghanistan and the reason why our soldiers are there. It's as one soldier said of the recent loss of his comrade, "He was a good soldier who defended the values he believed in." Makes one really realize how important the job of a soldier is and why they have chosen this career path.
We share the same values as we walk free in a country of such beauty. Canada, it's our home. So, maybe I'll find one or two of you walking down the Canadian bloggin' trails. Now that would be countries sharing values of peace and enjoyment of all forms of life. Until then hope to find you on the bloggin' trails.
