Warm on the Bloggin' Trail 5/22/2010 5:44:24 AM
Seeing as how the Dog and me go for walks I thought why not put the blog in the PET catagory?? Hello All,
It's a warm day here and I mean sticky warm. One would not think that of Canada but yes we do get summer weather here. In the last few years our temperatures have been unusually high. On this long weekend in our area we are in what they deem as the "highly restricted fire zone." All those who were looking forward to a weekend of camping by the fire will be disappointed however they will comply. No one wants to see our rich forestry go up in flames.
The dog was snooping more than usual. It seems we may have intruded on some form of wildlife territory. I looked about hoping the animal was not lying in wait. Of course the dog, being the sniffer she is, would certainly alert me to any strange activity. At this time of the year we must take caution as the wildlife is descending closer and closer to human habitats. We are in need of rain so one could suppose the animals are seeking a good, long drink of cold water.
There is this bird who continues to serenade us each morning with his trill. We were up a little too early for I didn't get the opportunity to hear his sweet sound. He will be there on our next outing. It will be soon as the dog is older and is showing signs of needing to go out more often despite her aches and pains. We may have to allow her the freedom to go "over the rainbow bridge." It's definitely not something I look forward to so I hope she gives me a clear sign. It's the look in their eyes that say it all and that's what I'm waiting for her to give me. In my mind I cannot let her leave this world until SHE is ready.
In the meantime we both will keep on going down the bloggin' trail enjoying the nature around us. She, the sniffer and me the gazer. What a combo. So please stop and say hi if you happen to be on the Canadian bloggin' trails...until then, take care and enjoy life!
